What search terms should I use when looking for dental books?
Q. I usually search for oral health, dental health. If I search for dentist I get concerned the book results will be basic kids books. Also I try to search for gum disease or periodontology and the more sophisticated words.

A. The search terms you are using are a good place to start, but what kinds of search terms you use depend on where you are searching. For example, if you are using a public library catalog and use "dentist" then you're right, you may get children's books, but if you're using a university library catalog, you are less likely to get children's books. Some catalogs will allow you to truncate words to do a search that gives you variations of a word. For example, you could try periodont* and then you could books that have the words periodontics, periodontist, or periodontology. You should also try dentist* to get dentists, dentist and dentistry. What are the different ways to search on Google?
Q. Like if you put the search in quotes it returns results for that exact phrase or I know theres a way to search for backlinks using brackets. Is there a list of all the little tricks you can use to get better search results?

A. Effective Googling Google places the AND operator between all search terms entered in basic search box. It automatically searches for some plural and singular and grammatical variants. If you enter: news reader Google searches for: news AND reader OR readers Google does not search an exact phrase or words, unless the phrase or words is contained within quotes. eg.: hollywood musicals will return all pages where the words "hollywood musicals" appear. How can I set the yahoo mail search to include mails from previous years?
Q. How can I set the yahoo mail search to include mails from previous years? Even I specify the mail search to include mails from previous years and in all folders, only the mails in the current year is being included in the search result. Please advise! Thanks.

A. I think this may already be a glitch in your account, in which the true mail messages are not synchronized with the search results coming up. For that you need to contact Yahoo! Customer Care: if you have a Mail Plus subscription, call them at their Tech Support line, but if you don't fill out a feedback form with all the details of your concern here:
