North Texas (also commonly called North Central Texas or Northeastern Texas) is a distinct cultural and geographic area forming the central-northeastern section of the U.S. state of Texas. North Texas is generally considered to include the area south of Oklahoma, east of Abilene, and north of Waco. North Texas, being more precisely the northern part of the eastern portion of Texas, does not include the Panhandle of Texas, despite the fact that it extends farther north. North Texas is centered upon the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, the largest metropolitan area in Texas. People in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas sometimes use the terms "Metroplex" and "North Texas" interchangeably. University of North Texas (UNT); University of Texas at Dallas (UTD); University of texas arlington (uta) I am working towards a Business Management degree and want to know what school would be most recognized by future employers as a respected school. I would go with a University of Texas affiliated school, and work my butt off to get into the UT Austin business school. If you don't want to do that or (as it is really hard to get into), cant get in, you could try University of Houston business school (although its not in north texas)... but it is rated #3 in Texas (UT Austin is rated #1). But, your degree only helps you get your first job. So, if someone from UT Austin or Harvard gets the job you want right out of college, all you have to do is prove yourself somewhere else.
